Custom Rolfing® SI Benches
Thomas first began making benches in 1985 to help pay for his Rolfing® training. Recently, while teaching at the Rolf Institute, he spoke to two other faculty members, each of whom bought a bench from him in 1987, and are still using them today.
The basic design has remained the same, but the wood he uses now has changed. Now he use 3/4 inch Baltic birch imported from Russia. It is extremely strong, finishes well and makes the production easier (cheaper for you).
If we have the bench you want in stock, often it can be shipped the same day it is ordered. If what your order needs to be custom made, it will ship three days business days after you order it, and should arrive in five to seven business days.
Each bench is shipped in 4 parts and they are very easy to assemble.

Finished – $215
Benches can be ordered finished with a clear, poly-urethane coating, which highlights the natural beauty of the birch.
Unfinished – $185
Or, you can chose to have your bench unfinished, so you can paint or stain it to your own specifications.
Payment
Because of variable shipping rates, I don’t know in advance what the total cost will be.
After you’ve placed your order, I will let you know when the bench is ready to ship. I usually ship the least expensive rate, which is usually ground. (Shipping to a business address is cheaper.)
I’ll let you know by email what the shipping charges are and the total cost. You can then send me a check.
