Description

Thomas first began making benches in 1985 to help pay for his Rolfing® training. Recently, while teaching at the Rolf Institute, he spoke to two other faculty members, each of whom bought a bench from him in 1987, and are still using them today.

The basic design has remained the same, but the wood he uses now has changed. Now he uses 3/4 inch Baltic birch. It is extremely strong, finishes well, and makes the production easier (cheaper for you).

If we have the bench you want in stock, it can be shipped within 3 days of your order. If what your order needs to be custom made, it will ship within a week and should arrive five to seven business days later.

Each bench is shipped in 4 parts which are very easy to assemble.

Benches can be ordered finished with a clear, poly-urethane coating, which highlights the natural beauty of the birch, or you can choose to have your bench unfinished, so you can paint or stain it to your own specifications.
